"Outdoor Chess" on the anniversary
Chess Club CSKA organizes an open chess tournament on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of CSKA on May 5th. At 11:00 o'clock on the alley of the "Bulgarian Army" stadium will start the competition, which will include lovers of the wonderful sport of all ages. The organizers have provided many awards and surprises for all participants, and also promise to give valuable advice to the inexperienced chess players. Open air chess in the South park with CSKA!
Chess club CSKA is inviting everybody at an open air chess fest on 21 may (sunday). The fest will be held in the South park and is starting at 10:00. The Sofia municipality is supporting the event. All participants will be awarded with prizes.

Important tournament for the CSKA chess players
On 11 and 12 march CSKA chess will host zonal championships in Sofia for kids and juniors. The tournament will be held in the CSKA chess hall on the Anton Chehov 6A str. The first 10 ranked players will qualify for the national round.

Chess club CSKA organizes a new round of the Florina cup this weekend. The tournament is open only to kids registered with the CSKA chess youth academy.

Chess club CSKA held a charity chess tournament in support of fencing coach Marina Valkova. More than 40 players took part and more than 800 leva were raised. GM Margarita Voyska (9 times champion of Bulgaria) and GM Rumyana Gotcheva (6 times champion of Bulgaria) challenged the participants.

The young CSKA chess players with an excellent performance at the Pleven cup
Five CSKA chess players took part in the second edition of the Pleven cup tournament for kids. The young army men won two medalds. Simeon Zanov and Dani Markov ended the competition with 5 points and were ranked first and second. Vladimir Koronenko also won 5 points and continued his winning streak from the Morsko konche cup. Georgi Zanev won only 3 points and lost 2 games in the final. One of the youngest players, Egor Kononenko, who is only 6 years old, managed to win 2 points in his first ever competition.
Chess club CSKA reported another successful year
The board of chess club CSKA resported the activity of the club in 2015. In the report that was presented to the general assembly of the club the board told that the goals that were given to the athletes were fulfilled and that the CSKA chess player had performed accordingly to the name of the club in the different championships.
