CSKA will play Irbis in the first match
The CSKA ice hockey team will play their first season game today. It will be against Irbis at 8:45 p.m. at the Winter Palace of Sports. The team, leading the table after the first round, will win the National Cup, also. CSKA will play three matches in the first round - today against Irbis, on the 19th of October against NSA and on the 26th of October against Slavia. We wish the Kiril Hodulov's boys the best of luck!
Kiril Hodulov: The season was a success (VIDEO)
The president of HC CSKA Kiril Hodulov, who is also coach of some of the teams made a review of the season. He accented on the U12 and U16 titles and said that preparation for the next season has already begun. Until the end of april CSKA will train in the Winter palace and then outdoors. CSKA with five U18 national players
Five HC CSKA players were called in the U18 national team for the Word championship in division III, which will be held in Taiwan. These are keepers Ivan Stoynov and Alexander Tomov, as well as Martin Nakov, Angel Djorov and Kaloyan Vachkov. The World cup begins today and will last until 28.03. Bulgaria is in one group with China, Israel, New Zealand, Taiwan and Turkey.
The champions also won individual prizes
The HC CSKA U12 and U16 teams got their cups. They also won several individual prizes. CSKA U16 goalkeeper Ivan Stoynov was elected as the number 1 keeper, Dimitar Kasabov is the best defender and Angel Dzhorov was elected as best striker. CSKA U10 finished second after a win against Irbis with 6:4. Alex Peychev scored all 6 goals.
CSKA is champion
HC CSKA won the titles in 2 junior groups. The U12 and U16 won the gold medals. The U16 won against NSA with 21:3 and left no doubt about who the better team is. The U16 will also take part in the prestigious tournament in Budapest next month.
Important victories for the CSKA hockey teams
The HC CSKA teams won two important matches this weekend. The U12 won against Slavia with 4:2. The match was a sort of a final, because both teams were undefeated against the other teams in the league so far. Cheshanov scored 3 goals and the 4th was added by Denis Peychev. Goalkeeper Kaloyan Stoyanov made an excellent match. The U18 won with 10:5 against Morski Drakon (Varna). Angel Dzhorov scored 5 goals, Martin Nakov and Denis Tsvetkov scored twice and Guillome Ian scored the 10th goal for CSKA.
HC CSKA with an overtime victory against NSA
HC CSKA won a dramatic overtime victory against NSA. The winner came in 2:28 of the overtime. CSKA started weak in the match and NSA took the lead. At the end of the 1st part NSA had a 2:1 lead. The second part ended 3:0 for CSKA. In the last part of the match NSA had a total of 10 minutes powerplay and managed to equalize. Blagoev however brought the victory for the Reds.
HC CSKA won against Levski with 5:4
HC CSKA U14 won against Levski U14. The Army men went extremely motivated in the derby and won. 3 goals were scored by Nikola Chalyov, Denis Peychev and Stefan Pirotski also scored 1 goal each. The U12 also won this weekedend. The match was against NSA and finished 8:2 for the Reds. The U10 won against Slavia with 4:0.
Minimal loss for HC CSKA
HC CSKA lost it's first match in 2017. The Army men lost against Irbis with 5:6. The four new players made a debut and played well. Irbis went in front with 2:0. After that CSKA turned the events on the ice and the result was 5:2 after 40 minutes. In the last third of the match Irbis had 3 powerplays and scored 4 goals. CSKA tried to equalize in the last minutes but Kiril Hodulov's players failed to score.
HC CSKA signed four new players
HC CSKA signed four new players. These are Mikulash Furnadzhiev, Anton Zdravkov, Dimo Yordanov and Borislav Dimitrov. The new players will make a debut tonight agaist Irbis in the Winter palace. The match starts at 20:50.
Big win for the HC CSKA juniors
The CSKA U16 ice hockey team won with 12:6 against NSA U16. Angel Djorov scored 4 goals, Martin Borisov added 3 goals, Guillome Ian and Martin Nakov scored 2 goals each. Nakov also made 3 assists. The U18 match was postponed.
A win and a loss for the CSKA hockey teams
The HC CSKA youth teams played 2 matches against NSA in the last days. The U10 won with 7:6 and coach Ivo Shipkov used many unexperienced players in the last third of the match after his team had a 6:2 lead. The U14 lost 1:5 against NSA. Next weekend CSKA U16 and U18 will also play the same opponent. The men's team will play against Irbis on 31.01. All matches are in the Winter palace.
CSKA players helped the national team for a world cup win
The Bulgarian ice hockey U20 team won against South Africa in the World cup Div.III tournament. The national team included 3 current and 2 former CSKA players. Bulgaria won with 5:2 against RSA and 2 of the goals were scored by former CSKA players Dilkov and Vachkov. Bulgaria U20 - RSA U20 5:2

The HC CSKA U16 team won it's last match for the year. Kiril Hodulov's players won with 12:4 against NSA. Angel Djorov scored 7, Martin Nakov added 3 and Hristo Antov and Martin Borisov also scored. The Reds are leading the table without a loss so fat. The CSKA hockey club won 5 matches this weekend. The U18 won with 10:4 against Varna in the Winter palace in Sofia. Angel Djorov scored 4, Guillome Ian, Martin Nakov and Martin Borisov scored 2 goals each. The U12 won against Irbis with 7:1. The U10 took part in a tournament in Botevgrad. Ivan Cheshanov's boys won the title after 3 wins in 3 matches. Alex Peychev was voted "Most valulble player". The only loss came from the U14 which could not oppose NSA and lost with 0:5.
