After 1990 the CSKA gymnasts have a considerable contribution for Bulgaria. Filip Yanev has a silver medal on the vault, a 6th place on the vault during the 2006 World championship in Melbourne, as well as a 5th place on the vault at the 2004 Olympic games in Athens.

At the Olympic games in Athens Yordan Yovchev won the silver medal on rings. However he deserved the gold and was deprived by the referees of a fully deserved title. The referees gave the gold medal to the local athlete Dimostenis Tambakos, although Yovchev performed much better than his rival. Nikolina Tankusheva also reached the final at the European championship in the Netherlands in 2003. She also represented Bulgaria at the Olympic games in Beijing in 2008. Tankusheva has 6 national titles and ever since her career start she was considered to be one of the most talented young athletes.

In 2003 Yordan Yovchev at the world championship in Arnheim Yordan Yovchev dobled his world titles. His new successes guaranteed his the title "Athlete of the year" in Bulgaria. He was also named "Athlete of the Balkans".

In 2002 Yordan Yovchev won also two silver medal at the World championship in Debrecen. At the European championship in Patra he won the title on rings and the silver on floor and in the all-around.

Yordan Yovchev is double world champion on floor and rings. His first title came at the championship in Gent. In the same year he was named "Athlete of the year" in Bulgaria.

Yordan Yovchev is also a member of the CSKA gymnastics club. He was part of CSKA during his military service in 1992-1993. Yordan Yovchev is the most distinguished Bulgarian gymnast of all times. His coach in the early years was Milko Tankushev, who guided Yovchev towars the first big successes in his career. In 1991 Yordan Yovchev won the silver medal in the all-around at the European U18 championship in Athens.
