The years 1989-1992 are under the sign of complete red domination. The women's team of CSKA manages to win the never seen before four consecutive titles in the league and one more national cup. One year before the start of the "Golden era" the Reds make a "small double" by winning the national cup and the Cup of the handball federation.

The end of the 80's is a "Golden age" for CSKA. The men's team won four out of five possible titles between 1987 and 1991. The only break in the series came in 1988. The extraordinary generation of red handallers also won four national cups in the same period.

The domination of the CSKA men's handball team continues in 1984 with a golden double. The title of the previous season is defended successfully and the Reds also manage to win the national cup for a double.

In 1983 CSKA won its 5th title for the men's team. The "Army men" start a new great series and manage to win also the 6th title in the next year.

Between 1982 and 1985 the CSKA women's team is without any competition in Bulgaria. The women won again three consecutive titles and two doubles. In this period CSKA manages to leave another strong trace on the international scene.

After a one year break CSKA win's the title again in 1981. The "Army men" are without real competition in the league and won the fourth title. This title was the fourth in just six years.

In 1989 the CSKA men's team wins a second consecutive title and third in the last four years. In this way the red club established itself in the handball elite of the country and the extraordinary generation of the second half of the 70's reached it's peak performance.

In 1978 the CSKA men's team managed to win it's second title in Bulgaria. This happened after a one year break. The talented generation of red handballers was on track for great things to come and had no problems in the domestic championship.

In 1976 CSKA won for the first time the title in the habdball men's championship. The extremely powerful CSKA team won the A grupa and laid the foundation for numerous trophies in different tournaments.

The perion between 1975-1977 is the most successful for the CSKA women's handball team. The Reds are champions in three consecutive championships and in the years 1975 and 1976 the also won the national cup for a golden doble. In this period the women's team also records some formidable results in Europe and manages to eliminate several opponents in the European tournaments.

Еxatly 9 years after the founding of the CSKA handball club, the women's team won its first title. This happened in 1973, when the Reds won the national championship.
