The competitor of CSKA Kiril Zagorski for a third consecutive year proved to be the most complex athlete in Bulgaria after becoming a champion again in the decathlon.

He triumphed with 5798 points (11.72 sec. in 100 meters, 6.43 meters in the long jump, 11.57 meters at shot put, 185 cm in the high jump, 53.80 sec. in the 400 m, 15.71 sec. in 110 m hurdles, 31.30 m at discus throw, 2.60 m at pole vault, 45.90 m at javelin throw and 5:17.56 min in 1500 m).
