During the 2013/2014 Stoycho Mladenov was again appointed as a head coach. He quickly managed to put together a team. Upon the resumption of the league CSKA did surprise many people by beating the favored Levski with 3:1 on his club stadium, sparking a series of shocks in the eternal rival. This was the first success of the Reds at the "Georgi Asparouhov" after 1985, when on December 22nd the Reds defeated Levski with the same result.

Under the guidance of Milen Radukanov CSKA failed to return in the fight for the Championships Title in the 2010/2011 season, but it, however, won the Cup of Bulgaria after a final against Slavia. 2009 - The audience of CSKA proved that it was No.1

Memorable will remain the duel with Roma in the Italian capital, where the Reds suffered a loss with 0:2, but the supporters of the team won the battle in the stands. More than 4 500 fans of CSKA shaped up a great show in the Olimpico Stadium. CSKA started the 2008/2009 season in a highly altered composition. In А Gрупа CSKA was dominant in the autumn of 2006 and steadily gained credits after beautiful and effective games. In spring there was a huge collapse in the team amd the 7 point advance melted down. Miodrag Jesic was fired, and the newly appointed coach Plamen Markov managedto win only the Cup of Bulgaria. In the final the team of Cherno more was defeated with 3:1 after the two goals from Emil Gargorov and one from Guillaume Dah Zadi.

The beginning of the 2006/2007 season was marked by a crisis in the club. During the first camp in Pravets there was a riot of the players who had not been paid. In the UEFA Cup tournament the team started with an easy win over Dinamo Tirana – 1:0 in Albania and 4:1 in Sofia. In the second round, after extra time, the Serbian Hajduk Kula was eliminated. 2005 - New clashes with Liverpool

The 2005-2006 season began in a stormy way. CSKA managed to eliminate easily SC Tirana in the second qualification round of the Champion’s League and recorded a presigeous win against the reigning European champion Liverpool in its Anfield Stadium. 2005 - CSKA eliminates Bayer Leverkusen with Dimitar Berbatov

In the UEFA Cup tournament CSKA eliminated the German Bayer Leverkusen of Dimitar Berbatov. It was in September when the "Aspirins" were defeated in both matches with 1:0 and so CSKA for the first time in history managed to take part in the group stage of a European tournament. In the groups themselves the Viking Stavanger was defeated (2:0) while the other three games were lost (0:1 from Hamburger SV, 2:4 from Slavia Prague and 1:2 from AS Monaco) which eventually cost the passage into the spring phase of the tournament.
